A breakdown of this series by date of production is not presently available. According to BEP records, notes of this series were delivered to the Federal Reserve between June 1965 and September 1969.
The table below shows the serial number ranges produced for the regular and star notes in this series. Serial numbering does not begin at 00000001A in each district, but rather continues on from the last serial used for Series 1963. All complete blocks run from 00000001 to 99999999, with the 100,000,000th note replaced by a star note. Notice that gaps of 160,000 serials occur frequently in the star notes; these are due to the print runs of mixed regular and star notes that are necessary to complete each block of regular notes (since 100,000,000 notes equals 156.25 print runs of 640,000 notes each).

Two gaps of 160,000 serials each exist in the G..* printings, and one each in the E..*, F..*, and L..* printings, but their precise locations are not known.
The Dallas star range from K 012 80001 * through K 019 20000 * is listed in the BEP's records as Series 1963, but observed notes from this range are Series 1963A.
The last print run of L..* notes in this series was a partial one, containing only 13,000 sheets instead of the usual 20,000. Therefore, the last 7,000 of each 20,000 serial numbers in this run were skipped. That is, serials L 134 40001 * through L 134 53000 * were printed, L 134 53001 * through L 134 60000 * were skipped, L 134 60001 * through L 134 73000 * were printed, and so on to the last serial number actually used, L 140 73000 *. (Note that this is opposite to the convention adopted later for such partial print runs, in which the omitted serials occur at the beginning of each group of 20,000 within the run.)
